Sugar, like stress, is one of those things that’ll kill ya. Especially the refined kind.
So, lately, I’ve been snacking on paleo treats made with natural sweeteners (honey, coconut sugar, stevia, etc.), having found new objects of confection such as Mikey’s Double Chocolate Chip Muffin Tops, Simple Mills Double Chocolate Crunchy Cookies, and So Delicious No Sugar Added Dipped Vanilla Bars. “Wholesomeless” goodies to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Then it occurred to me during a recent CranioSacral release sesh with the fellas over at Integrate NYC that, when I was feeling my absolute best in the months and weeks leading up to our trip to Spain, I was off sweets entirely. I’m talkin’ all types of junk food, not just the processed-with-boatloads-of-refined-cane-sugar kind. And I felt fucken fabulous.
So, on my walk home, I decided to go back on my “sweet elimination” and see how it goes. Fortunately, for me, I have enough sweetness in my heart to hold me over for at least a while (yuke 🤢).
