I spent this past weekend on retreat with a group of fabulous, magnificent, and brilliant souls—each of them, a light in her own form. We connected with each other so deeply that, by the end of the weekend, we could have illuminated the entire city with our collective glow.
We spent four full days working arduously toward opening our hearts to forgiveness, sending love and light to those who, in our eyes, may have wronged us in some way. We meditated and embraced whatever painful emotions arose, allowing those emotions to disperse into the Universe, where they would be recycled into a neutral energy.
We also strengthened our physical bodies through two hours of Vinyasa each morning, and two hours of slow flow and yoga nidra every evening. A significant accomplishment for someone with chronic fatigue syndrome, and I pushed myself as much as I possibly could.
Throughout this strenuous process, each of us became more determined, more confident, more open and capable of self love. An incredible feat.
I’d like to express an immense amount of gratitude to our exceptional teacher, Erica, and for the community of extraordinary women she has brought together through her remarkable spirit.
With this, I ask that you open your heart and comment or write to me about the practices that help you live and love more freely.
Until next time…
