Although I do kinda feel like a newly released inmate, I am not asking “Now what?”
The past six months have not only been consumed with fighting cancer, but also by lots of daydreaming about the future (which is, amazingly, happening right now). I spent quite some time constructing TO DO lists and agendas—and I’ve never been more ready for what’s next.
As described in an earlier post, I’ve always been somewhat a daydreamer—dreaming of all the things that I would love to do in life, with the naive belief that there was an infinite amount of time in which to do them.
Not only was I held back by naive beliefs about time, but fear played a big role in my procrastination as well (read my post about fear here). Lemme tell ya, though, this cancer journey has knocked fear right out of me—and, once you conquer fear, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Any who, it looks as if I’m gonna be a little busy for a while, and I’m super excited to embark on this new journey (also known as life).
Until next time, my friends, please do not wait for a serious illness to jumpstart your life. Don’t put off one more exciting plan or idea. And tell me what’s now for you in comments below.
